NAS

A NAS (Network Attached Storage) is a network storage server designed to provide a centralized, reliable, and high-performance space dedicated to data sharing and workload management in an enterprise environment. In a business environment, it constitutes a centralized storage resource, used for virtualized infrastructures as well as for management and administration by systems teams.

In virtualization, a NAS plays an essential role as a shared datastore in a VMware vSphere infrastructure, enabling the deployment of virtual machines and the implementation of advanced features such as vMotion or HA, thus ensuring high availability and optimal resilience.
