APC Back-UPS Pro is a range of In-line (Line-Interactive) UPS (uninterruptible power supply) allowing you to efficiently protect your server against :

• power outages : thanks to its batteries.
  This prevents your server from crashing suddenly or losing your work in progress (in the case of a computer).
• voltage variations (undervoltage or overvoltage) : thanks to the automatic voltage regulation (AVR) managed by its microprocessor.
  This avoids unnecessarily reducing the life of your UPS batteries.

This range of UPS also allows you :

• to shut down your server automatically and properly using the "APC PowerChute Personal Edition" software when the autonomy is no longer sufficient (adjustable value).
• to save electricity thanks to its smart sockets.
