Windows Server 2012 R2
Windows Server 2012 R2 is the server version of Windows 8.1 created by Microsoft in 2013.
Since Windows Server 2012 R2, new features have appeared and some features have been improved :
- failover clusters : possibility of using a dynamic witness to facilitate configuration and maintenance of the cluster
- Hyper-V : generation 2 virtual machines can now boot from a SCSI virtual hard drive. This divides the deployment time of virtual machines by 2.
- storage pools : adding storage levels to add a cache on an SSD.
- Remote Desktop Services (RDS) : possibility to view or control the session of your users without disconnecting them thanks to the "session shadow"
