As you can see, currently 2 devices appear under the name "Unknown Device".
If you double-click on the 1st unknown device, you will see that its location is "on Intel(R) 100 Series/C230 Series Chipset Family LPC Controller (HM170) - A14E".
If you go to the "Details" tab for this device and select the "Hardware Ids" property, you will see that the hardware ID is "ACPI\VEN_NTN&DEV_0530".
Which corresponds to the Nuvoton SIO CIR device (as you can check on the "Identify Devices with Errors in Device Manager for the Intel® NUC" page on the Intel site).
To download this driver, you have several options (as we explained in detail in our tutorial "Install Windows 10 on the Intel NUC Skull Canyon (NUC6i7KYK)").
For example, search for "Nuvoton SIO CIR" in the Microsoft Update catalog.
Sort the list by products and use the 1st update available for Windows 10 (boxed in red in the image below).
Click on its name "Nuvoton Technology Corp. - Other hardware - Nuvoton SIO CIR Device Driver" for information about this update.
Normally, the architecture of this update is "AMD64" (which means: 64-bit = x64).
If this is the correct line, then click on the “Download” button present to the right of the line.
Next, click on the "....cab" link displayed.
The "...cab" file has been downloaded.
Enter this ".cab" file by double-clicking on it, then select all the files there and right-click "Extract" on them.
Create a “Nuvoton SIO CIR driver” folder wherever you want and select this folder.
Then, click: Extract.
Among the extracted files, you will find the files "nuviocir_x64.inf" (the configuration file) and "nuviocir_x64.sys" (the driver).
All that remains is to update the driver of this unknown device from the device manager by clicking on the "Update driver" button for this device.
Click: Browse my computer for drivers.
Click "Browse" and select the "Nuvoton SIO CIR driver" folder where you just extracted the files that were in the ".cab" file, then click Next.
As expected, the device driver “Nuvoton SIO CIR Device Driver” has been installed.
Click Close.
Now, this device appears under the name "Nuvoton SIO CIR Device Driver".
As you can see, this is the same device as before as its location is again "on Intel(R) 100 Series/C230 Series Chipset Family LPC Controller (HM170) - A14E".
For the hardware identifier of this device "Nuvoton SIO CIR Device Driver", it is indeed the identifier "ACPI\VEN_NTN&DEV_0530".
