Learn how to deploy and use Windows MultiPoint Server 2012

Windows MultiPoint Server 2012 is a solution for schools and universities that allows you to provide client workstations to your students through a single server and thin clients.

Indeed, when you deploy Microsoft's Windows MultiPoint Server 2012 solution in a classroom, all your students will have a client station each, but they will not have access to a real physical computer.
Indeed, each client station will only consist of a screen, a keyboard and a mouse. Your users will therefore have the impression of having a computer each, but in reality, everything will be managed by the Windows MultiPoint Server 2012 server.

To create these stations, you will have several solutions (which are explained in details in the 1st step of this course) which consist in summary of :

• use multiple graphics cards and multiple USB hubs on the server. Then, associate these with each station by pressing a specific letter on the client station.
• use thin clients or zero clients. Each of them will be connected to the server and will allow the creation of a user station.
