Windows Server 2012
Windows Server 2012 is the server version of Windows 8 created by Microsoft in 2012.
Windows Server 2012 brings a lot of new features :
- it's the 1st version of Windows Server intended to facilitate the transition to the cloud and mainly to Microsoft Azure.
- the ability to create scalable storage through storage pools. With these, you can create software RAID volumes and improve their performance with an SSD cache, for example.
- improvement of their Hyper-V hypervisor (in version 3) with support for clustering of file sharing, cloning of virtual machines remotely, ... In addition, Hyper-V can manage up to 1 TB of RAM and up to 64 virtual processors.
