BIND is the most widely-used name server software on the Internet. BIND is supported by the Internet Software Consortium.
Like any DNS server, it will allow you to :
- create forward lookup zones (domain names to IP address)
- create reverse lookup zones (IP address to domain names)
- manage redirection to other DNS servers for domains that they are not know on your DNS server.
