Cyrus SASL is a library that allows you to easily add secure authentication mechanisms to your Linux applications. This modular and extensible solution meets complex security requirements, regardless of your infrastructure's size.

Support for Multiple Authentication Mechanisms

With Cyrus SASL, you gain integration of numerous authentication methods such as ANONYMOUS, EXTERNAL, GSSAPI (Kerberos), OTP, PLAIN, SCRAM, and SRP. This diversity enables you to tailor security to the needs of each application, ensuring compatibility with both centralized and decentralized authentication environments.

Centralized Management of Users and Authentication Databases

Through its plugins, you can store and manage authentication information in various databases: LMDB, LDAP, SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite), SASLdb, or even in Active Directory directory systems. This gives you control over storage, retrieval, and securing user properties, making day-to-day administration easier.

Extensibility and Compatibility With Leading Services

Cyrus SASL integrates seamlessly with most common servers and applications (IMAP, SMTP, etc.), whether on the client or server side. Its modular architecture makes it easy to add new mechanisms, and its flexible configuration gives you efficient control of each application via dedicated files or options.

This library is an essential tool to strengthen security, centralize identity management, and automate authentication within professional Linux environments.
