fdisk is a command line partitioning program présent by default in all GNU/Linux distributions.
fdisk allows you to :
- list the partitions of one or all hard drives.
- create and delete partitions : primary, extended or logical (logical drives)
- change the boot indicator (choice of the active partition)
- change the system type of a partition (Linux, DOS, ...)
- check the partition table of a hard disk
- and more.
